Piekarski Research International Ltd. (“us”, “we”, “our” or the “Company”) operates the https://irekpiekarski.com website (the “Service”).

Your privacy is important to the Company.  This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Service and the choices you have associated with such information.

We use your personal information to provide and improve the Service.  By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted by law. 1. Definitions 

1.01 “Cookies” means small pieces of data stored on your device (computer or mobile device).

1.02 “Data” means any data that we may collect from you through your use of the Services, including but not limited to Personal Information, Usage Data and Cookies.

1.03 “Data Controller” means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Information.

1.04 “Data Processor” means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller.

1.05 “Data Subject” means any living individual who is using the Service and is the subject of Personal Information.

1.06 “Personal Information” means information about an individual which can be used to identify the individual either directly or in combination with other information in our possession or likely to come into our possession.

1.07 “Service Provider” means third party companies and individuals that we engage to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform services related to the Service or to assist us in analyzing how the Service is used. We may engage a Service Provider in order to process your Personal Information more effectively.

1.08 “Usage Data” means data that is collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

2. Collection of Data

2.01 Purposes of data collection. We collect your Data through the Services for the following purposes:

a. to provide and maintain the Service;

c. to allow you to participate in interactive features of the Service when you choose to do so;

2.02 Personal Information. While using the Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain Personal Information, including but not limited to your:

c. phone number; and

d. mailing address.

2.03 Usage Data. We may also collect Usage Data to assess how the Service is being accessed and used. Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of the Service that you visited, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

2.04 Cookies. We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on the Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze the Service. 3. Usage of Data

3.01 Access to and Safeguard of Data. We will be storing your Data on our servers and our employees will have access to your Data. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your Data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  No transfer of your Personal Information will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place.

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

3.02 Location of Data. Your Data, including Personal Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside of Canada and choose to provide your Data to us, please note that we transfer the Data, including Personal Information, to Canada and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such Data represents your agreement to that transfer.

3.03 Retention of Data. We will retain your Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in paragraph 2.01 of this Privacy Policy or such longer retention period as may be required or permitted by applicable law. We will retain and use your Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when it is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of the Service, or such longer retention period as may be required or permitted by applicable law.

3.04 Disclosure of Data. We may disclose your Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

a. to comply with a legal obligation;

b. to facilitate our business transactions with third parties given that such third parties agree to the non-disclosure of your Data;

c. to prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the provision of our products and services;

d. to protect the personal safety of users of our services; and

We may disclose your Data to the Service Providers that we engage with only to help them perform the tasks for which they are performing on our behalf and they are obligated not to disclose or use your Data for any other purposes. Service Providers that we currently engage in include, but are not limited to, Google Analytics, Facebook, Stripe, and Paypal.

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party Service Providers for payment processing. We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to the Service Provider whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

3.05 Accuracy and Access to Personal Information.  You can help us maintain the accuracy and completeness of your information by notifying us of any changes to your Personal Information.

You may request access to your Personal Information and information about our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of that information by sending your request to our privacy officer at mmaryk@irekpiekarski.com. Subject to applicable exceptions and limitations prescribed by law, you will be given reasonable access to your Personal Information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate.

4. Other Important Terms

4.01 Link to Other Sites. The Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

4.02 Personal Information of Minors. The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. 4.03 Changes to This Privacy Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued dealings with us subsequent to any changes to this Privacy Policy will signify your consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your Personal Information in accordance with the changed Privacy Policy.
